Short Bio
Matteo Cerminara earned his master inĀ Theoretical Physics from the University of Florence and his PhD in Applied Mathematics from Scuola Normale Superiore in 2016. Since 2016 he is researcher at Istituto Nazionale di Geofisica and Vulcanologia. He is specialised in physical, mathematical and computational modeling of the dynamics of geophysical phenomena, such as volcanic plume, pyroclastic density currents and geothermal reservoirs.
He has validated his new geophysical models through laboratory experiments and observation at geophysical scale. He has worked both in the field of high performance computing and in the study and observation of volcanic phenomenology.
He is author of about 30 scientific papers.
